Super foods are the foods that are healthy and good for you. Mostly they are consist of those that are natural and chemical-free.
With the modern changes today, there are also modern changes in the way meals are prepared and even the food taken in by many people. Everything seems fast and is always on the go. Fast foods are a trend and slow cooking isn’t that good for an option for busy people.
With that view, the generation today can be said to be grooming an overweight age group that thrives on preserved food and take outs. Also, due to this unhealthy lifestyle, many finds skin problem as an everyday problem. Dry skin. Pimple outbreak, early onset of wrinkles, etc are few of those that are caused by poor food choices one have.

1.   Cabbage. Cabbage has been found out to be a good food to fight cancer. And many may dismiss it in their plate but its sulforaphane is the major cancer fighter ingredient you can get after consuming it. You can eat it in your burger or in a slaw.
2. Cinnamon. Many though that cinnamon are for little purposes. But then it may help control blood sugar as well as your cholesterol level. One can sprinkle it in coffee or other food you will be preparing.
3. Pomegranate. When made a juice, pomegranate can be your best antioxidant. It will be good in lowering high blood pressure too.
4. Beets. Beets are rich in folate. It is also known in its cancer fighting ways. One can prepare and eat it raw or include it in your salad. Some foods such as beets are better eaten raw; cooking it may be causing some of its antioxidants and nutrient power to decrease.
5. Plums/ Prunes. They can be available dried and they are one of those that are packed with antioxidants. Eating it may prove beneficial to your health.
6. Turmeric. It is one of the best spices in the cooking world but it is also one of those foods that may be keeping you away from cancer.  Also, it is anti-inflammatory, to add to it.
7. Blueberries. Certainly they are one of the best super foods there is. But mostly it can be available for a certain time of year, but you can freeze it to have an abundant supply of it.
8. Pumpkin seeds. One really has to give respect to these seeds. They are packed with magnesium and have some beneficial minerals.
9. Black Beans. Minus the fact that it contains a high amount of protein, it may also aid in losing weight. As it doesn’t contain a saturated fat, it then becomes a better option.
10. Artichokes. Jerusalem artichokes has double the fiber of some spuds and is every essential for metabolism. It is also high in thiamine which is very helpful in decreasing symptoms of PMS .
